Stump Grinding
Looking for stump grinding? Here’s the honest answer before you call anyone: grinding a stump down below grade gets rid of the visible problem, but the root system stays in the ground — which means possible regrowth, rot, and a soft spot that can sink years later. That’s why we don’t grind stumps. We pull them.

Why We Pull Instead of Grind
A ground-down stump still has a root system underneath it — for species that resprout, that means new growth pushing back up through the mulch within a season or two. Pulling the stump and root ball out entirely finishes the job the first time: no regrowth, no rot pocket underneath a future patio or foundation, no surprise sinkhole a few years down the line.
We’re owner-operated — founder Harlan Stanley personally scopes and runs every stump removal job, with no subcontractors in between. For the full details on how we handle it, see our Tree Stump Pulling page.
What We Handle
- Full stump and root removal, not surface grinding
- Clearing ahead of construction or planting
- Multiple stumps across larger clearing projects
- Stump and debris disposal (burn or bury)
- Site leveling after stump removal
Send us a message and we’ll get those stumps out for good — root and all.
