Texas doesn’t do storms halfway. Along the Gulf Coast, hurricane season brings downed trees, splintered fence lines, and debris fields that can turn a pasture into an obstacle course overnight. Further inland and out toward the Big Bend, the danger looks different but hits just as hard: flash floods that carve out gullies, undermine roads, and bury low ground in silt and storm debris.
Either way, the cleanup is the same problem — you need heavy equipment, an operator who knows what they’re doing, and a plan that gets your property functional again without doing more damage in the process.
What Storm Cleanup Actually Involves
After a hurricane or a major flood event, the work usually falls into a few categories:
- Downed tree and debris removal — clearing fallen trees, snapped limbs, and wind-scattered debris from pastures, driveways, and building sites
- Erosion and washout repair — regrading washed-out areas, rebuilding drainage paths so the next storm doesn’t repeat the damage
- Stump and root removal — pulling out what’s left of trees that didn’t survive, so the ground can actually be used again
- Access road and trail restoration — clearing and regrading roads and trails that flooding or fallen trees have cut off
Our Equipment Is Built for This
We run a Kubota 75 horsepower track steer with a full attachment lineup suited to storm recovery work:
- Grapple Blade — for bundling and clearing storm debris fast
- Tree Stump Digger — for pulling stubborn roots and pushing over storm-damaged trees
- 74″ Flat Blade — for regrading washed-out ground and clearing access paths
- Trencher Blade — for restoring drainage lines when flooding has rerouted water where it doesn’t belong
- Hydraulic Auger — for resetting fence posts and structures once debris is cleared
The track steer platform means we can get into soft, storm-saturated ground that would bog down wheeled equipment — which matters most right after a storm, when the work needs to happen but the ground hasn’t dried out yet.
